The Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project (KKNPP) is sponsoring a solar power plant for the Kudankulam Government Hospital in Tamil Nadu.

According to an official statement, "KKNPP has taken several initiatives under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to provide services in the areas of health, education, infrastructure and environment sustainability to the neighbourhood within 16 [1] Km radius from KKNPP," the statement said.

The sponsorship of the solar plant aims to align the nuclear facility's operational presence with the developmental needs of the surrounding region. By funding the installation, the KKNPP provides the hospital with a sustainable energy alternative that lowers operational costs and supports green energy goals.
