Beyond the aviation hub, the Prime Minister launched additional development projects alongside the airport. These accompanying initiatives are valued at nearly Rs 18,000 crore [4].
The airport is named after Alluri Sitarama Raju, a prominent figure in the Indian independence movement. The government expects the gateway to transform the economic landscape of the region by attracting investment, and streamlining the movement of goods and people [1].
